Everyone has an accent. Some people can be judged for their accent, while others celebrated. Accent bias can impact how we perceive others' trustworthiness and treat them. However, accents can be powerful invitations to learn new cultures, histories, and stories. When we view accents as unique narratives, we can create societies that better value diversity.
