How robotics became my ally | Manuel Makencie | TEDxYouth@ColegioGuayamuri

The speaker shares his journey into robotics, which began unexpectedly when he was invited to a competition despite knowing nothing about the subject. With the help of teachers, he formed a team, built his first robot, and spent months training. Despite initial setbacks, his persistence led to regional victories, national rankings, and eventually representing Venezuela in the World Robot Olympiad in Panama. Through challenges in competitions, he improved his programming and design skills, achieving a significant global ranking. His experiences inspired other students, and he now believes the future of robotics involves integrating 3D-printed parts to benefit humanity and the planet. Hello, I'm Manuel Makencie. I'm 13 years old. I'm in the robotics club of the Guayaquil school and I've gone to international competitions This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
