Living in the age of information overload, the phenomenon of Epistemology and its relation to media dominance is of paramount importance now more than ever before. The concept alludes to how media practices are equipped, not for communication, but for indoctrination and how the media is responsible for what we consider “truth”. This talk examines how media outlets, through meticulous selection of news, framing of narratives, and targeted dissemination of information, engage in a form of epistemic manipulation. By shaping what we perceive as reliable sources and influencing our understanding of reality, the media exerts significant power over our collective knowledge and shapes the foundations of our beliefs. To me, politics was never just about policy. I believe that the most pressing political problems of our time demand a philosophical reckoning. From Plato to JS Mill to John Locke, I draw inspiration from these profound thinkers and have a great interest in linking their ideas with modern political issues, with the hope of unveiling the truth. In fact, dissecting contemporary political dilemmas with a sharp, often controversial, edge is what I do best! Expect uncomfortable truths and a challenge to your most deeply held assumptions.
